Transfer of newborn twin babies between hospitals - thank you for helping
What are we doing, and why?
We are conducting a research study to find out about parents' experiences when twin (or triplets, quads etc,) babies are transferred between hospitals. We we wanted to speak to, or hear from parents so we better understand what it feels like. We are interested in the situation where the twins have to be separated and where each baby is cared for in a different hospital at the same time. This may be for a short period of time e.g. just a few hours separation, or might be for much longer e.g. if one twin needed intensive care at another hospital, but there was no space for the other twin to be kept with them. This challenge was highlight to us by parents as we were developing the Butterfly project. |
How can you help?
We wanted to speak to parents whose twins were separated whilst in hospital. I am pleased to say that we have had an amazing response and have already exceeded the number we will be able to interview. Please feel free to leave information below if you want to tell us anything about your experience, but we are sorry that at present we cannot interview more parents. However, if you wish you can leave your details and tell us your experiences in writing. We might be able to contact you again in the future. Thank you. |
