BREAKING NEWS - MAGPIE completes recruitment ahead of schedule!

We are delighted to announce that MAGPIE successfully recruited ahead of the original finish date of June 2018. ELFIN completed recruitment in September, ahead of schedule, meaning our time frame was reduced significantly. However, with the effort of 12 NICU sites we close to recruitment with 474 babies consented to MAGPIE.

We are so grateful to all the parents who helped, and the recruiting sites for their amazing efforts in helping us complete the first phase of the study. You can read a summary of the study here on ISRCTN and a copy of the published protocol can be downloaded here.

Further good news is that we have full consent to use samples collected from an additional 134 babies consented to ELFIN and SIFT prior to MAGPIE commencing. This means in total we have samples from 608 babies from which we can conduct our analysis.
