Parents survey: loss of a baby from a multiple pregnancy (twin, triplet etc.)

We have been undertaking research into the experiences of parents who have lost a baby from a multiple pregnancy (twins, triplets or more). We understand that the loss of any baby is difficult and painful, and that parents who have lost all babies from a multiple pregnancy are in an especially difficult position. At present, we are focusing on experiences where one baby dies (either before or after delivery), and one or more babies survive. We are developing resources based on research we and others have conducted, to educate and support staff, and will then look to develop resources (leaflets, booklets, videos etc.) for parents. Although we are not conducting a formal survey of parents at present, if you would like to tell us about your experiences, we would be keen to hear from you. We will not be able to respond to every comment, or enter into any discussion about individual cases. Anything you tell us will be treated in strict confidence.
We came across these books and have been corresponding with the author and publisher. They are beautiful and we think many parents will both benefit from, and enjoy reading them. Everyone is different so they may not be for everyone, but they are very thoughtful. We'll try and set up something between us, but please click the link and have a look (we are not on commission!)

Resources for parents and families

We have included links to resources and other links and organizations, although this list is far from complete. We have also asked parents if they would share their stories with us - you can hear or read those stories here.

Parents, please tell us about your experiences & views

In this survey we talk about 'twin' loss as shorthand for the loss of one or more babies from a multiple pregnancy (could be twin, triplet, quad etc.)

Please tell us anything else you think is helpful, about the questions, or ideas you have or other views. If you have had this experience tell us what was god and what was bad about your care. We will do our best to incorporate these into future surveys and resources to help parents and staff.
